Jute Rope
Basic Info
Additional Info
Made from natural fibres, sisal (Agave Sisalana) is a strong rope that`s especially resistant to sunlight and has little to no stretching. Great for use in the garden or home it`s often used in decking, timber work, or even as a scratching post for cats. It`s great for use in tug of war too, with a hairy feel it allows brilliant grip.
Jute ropes simply flies in your hands. Once you have used this jute, youwon't go back to hemp, which feels leaden and lifeless by comparison. It isstrong, light and holds knots very well. It has little stretch, unlike cottonand most synthetics.
The softness of this loose laid rope ensures neat, unobtrusive knots andsharp, clean rope work. What's more, it is less likely to cause rope burn asnatural fibre does not heat up so quickly when drawn across skin. Japan's topnawashi almost exclusively chose jute and I'd trust their judgement.
